Mrs Brown tops DVD chart

With Michael McIntyre at No 2

The Mrs Brown’s Boys live show has topped the DVD chart on its first week of release.

The Good Mourning Mrs Brown title knocked Men In Black 3 down three places to take the No 1 slot.

Michael McIntyre is another new entry at No 2 with his stand-up special Showtime.

Two more comedians have made the top 10: John Bishop’s Rollercoaster tour at No 6 and Kevin Bridges: The Story Continues at No 8.

Sarah Millican: Thoroughly Modern Millican was another new entry at No 14.

This is the first chart to feature any of this year’s batch of stand-up DVDs. Several were released on Monday with another 11 title out tomorrow, including shows by Al Murray, Jack Dee, Peter Kay and Rhod Gilbert.

Mrs Brown’s TV show is also selling strongly; with the DVD of series 2 at No 5 and the first series still at No 26 – in its 59th week in the charts.
