C4 goes for the Full English

Animated sitcom... and now a game

Channel 4 are to launch an animated sitcom about an English family, described as ‘a satirical look at our popular culture, our monarchy, our economy and our country today’

The voice cast of Full English includes Richard Ayoade, Kayvan Novak, Daisy Haggard, Rosie Cavaliero and Lucy Montgomery.

The show will also be supported with an online video game, in which players take control of the dad, Edgar.

Channel 4 multi-platform commissioner Jody Smith said: ‘Full English is a bold addition to Channel 4's comedy schedule, so we wanted to do something equally ambitious online. The result is a beautiful adventure game, packed with gags and celeb cameos, and supported by the show's superb voice talent.’

Full English was originally announced in May 2011, when it was known as Happy Families. It will be part of the forthcoming autumn season.
