Jim Henson Co. working on BBC1 show

The creators of the Muppets are working on a new BBC1 chat show, featuring a puppet host.

The Jim Henson Company is developing an idea for a teatime comedy entertainment show, provisionally titled No Strings Attached.

The BBC's executive editor for entertainment, Karl Warner, told Broadcast magazine: ‘It's a really early doors development but we have high hopes.

‘The Henson Company has shown us some puppets, and their versatility is very exciting, but we are still only in talks at the moment.’

A new Muppets TV series is currently being made for America’s NBC network, too.
