Radio 4 signs up Kevin Eldon

Four-part sketch series ahead

Radio 4 has signed up Kevin Eldon for his own four-part sketch series.

The half-hour shows – which won’t go out until July – will be broadly based on the comic actor’s acclaimed 2010 Edinburgh show Kevin Eldon Is Titting About.

The four-part commission follows the success of a pilot, which was recorded without a studio audience last year. That episode also starred Julia Davis, Amelia Bullmore, David Reed, Justin Edwards and Paul Putner.

Producer David Tyler, of independent production house Pozzitive, said: ‘It's Kevin Eldon let loose in a radio comedy studio with half an hour to fill...’

The show, which is yet to be titled, is due to go out in an 11pm slot.

Pozzitive has also just made a series of four 15-minute Radio 4 shows with sketch group Clever Peter, due to go out in mid-May.
