Apollo recovers – a bit

Stand-up show's audience rises

Live At The Apollo bounced back in the ratings this weekend.

An audience of 3.2million tuned in to Friday’s episode, in which Sean Lock introduced Ed Byrne and Lee Nelson – up 200,000 on the series launch a week earlier.

However, it is still more than 15 per cent down on the 3.8million average audience for the sixth series, which aired on BBC One this time last year.

It also means 1.6 million people switched over after watching Have I Got News for You immediately before it. The topical quiz attracted an audience of 4.8million.

Live At The Apollo will not be on this week because of BBC Children in Need.
