BBC Three pilot for Russell Kane

Showcasing circuit favourites

Russell Kane is piloting a new BBC Three programme showcasing the best of circuit comedy.

The trial episode, to be recorded in London next month, will feature Roisin Conaty, Nick Helm, Jigsaw, Marek Larwood, Carl Donnelly, Joe Wilkinson, Kristen Schaal & Kurt Braunohler, Hari Kondabolu, Peacock & Gamble, Lady Garden and Joel Dommett.

It is being made by Avalon TV – which already produces the BBC Three shows Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show and Russell Howard’s Good News. Most of the acts, in the pilot at least, are represented by Avalon’s management arm.

If picked up, the Russell Kane show will be destined for a late-night slot.
