2.4m see Life's Too Short

Comedy line-up wins strong audiences

Life’s Too Short got off to a strong start in the ratings last night, attracting an audience of 2.4million to BBC Two.

It means that one in ten of all viewers at the time were tuned in to Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s mockumentary about Warwick Davis.

The show formed part of a strong comedy line-up for the channel, which boosted its average audience by about 40 per cent for the trio of programmes.

It began with the return of Rev at 9pm with 2.3million viewers, a huge improvement on the 1.3million average for season one, according to the overnight Barb figures, provided by Attentional.

And following Life’s Too Short, the third series of Frank Skinner’s Opinionated kicked off with 1.5million – the same as its last season average but notably up on BBC Two’s average audience for the slot.
