DVD first for Evans

Lee Evans is to release the first 3D stand-up DVD.

His new Roadrunner show, recorded in front of 16,000 fans at London’s O2 Arena, was shot using the new technology.

The 3D version will be released on November 28, a week after the standard Blu-ray and DVD releases.

Distributors Universal Pictures said: ‘This landmark entertainment event will provide the ultimate Lee Evans experience to home audiences, perfectly encompassing his spectacular stage show and showing off all his physical hilarity.’

Evans has performed Roadrunner to 600,000 people across the UK and Ireland this yea, with 227,424 tickets sold on the first day the tour was announced.
