First UK comedy tour for wrestler Foley

Four dates for WWE legend

Former pro-wrestler Mick Foley has turned stand-up comedian… and has announced his first British comedy tour.

The ex-WWE champion is to perform four dates in Manchester, Nottingham, Newcastle Upon Tyne and London in November.

He said: ‘I am enormously excited and relieved about my upcoming comedy tour.

‘Excited about the prospect of telling stories, hearing laughter and fielding questions from some of my most loyal and dedicated fans. Relieved that I finally have a real answer to the one of the two questions I'm most frequently asked: when are you coming back to the UK? As far as that other question, about returning to WWE, I guess we'll have to wait and see.’

Foley made his debut as a stand-up two years ago at the Improv in Los Angeles, since performed his anecdotes across America.

He has been a wrestler from 1985, and has worked for WCW, ECW and TNA Wrestling. He also performed under personas including Dude Love, Cactus Jack and Mankind, and is often referred to as ‘The Hardcore Legend’. His bloody 1998 ‘Hell In A Cell’ bout with The Undertaker is one of the most famous in WWE history.
