'I went too far'

Sir Patrick Stewart says he regrets his onstage fallout with James Corden.

He blamed alcohol for the well-publicised incident, saying he was ‘out of control’ when he berated the comic at last year’s Glamour awards

The Star Trek actor snapped at Corden: ‘From where I was sitting, I could see your belly.’ The comic hit back with: ‘You could see my belly. I can see you dying right now.’

Stewart told Classic FM: 'My part of the evening came late and it was alcohol, I'm afraid. I went too far, I was somewhat out of control. I have nothing but admiration for Mr Corden. I still blush in remembrance of it.’
