US break for Pulling's Sharon?

ABC orders pilot of her new show

Pulling star Sharon Horgan has landed a pilot deal with American broadcaster ABC.

The network is to make a test episode of Bad Mom, which she wrote and will appear in, according to Hollywood trade magazine Variety.

The single-camera sitcom is about a woman who offloaded her children to her mother to raise – but suddenly has to take on the responsibility when grandmother decides she wants her life back. Horgan will play a neighbour named Linda.

The show’s executive producer is Aaron Kaplan, who is currently working on The Inbetweeners movie, too.

Meanwhile, CBS has ordered a pilot script of Lee Mack’s Not Going Out, UK magazine Broadcast reports. The network is hoping to adapt the gag-driven BBC One sitcom for American audiences.
