Michael McIntyre turns nasty

Comic reduces 9-year-old to tears

Michael McIntyre has reduced a nine-year-old boy to tears by buzzing him off Britain’s Got Talent.

His attempt to get laughs backfired when wannabe stand-up David Knight started sobbing at the Birmingham auditions.

When McIntyre asked the youngster who his favourite comedian was, David replied: ‘Harry Hill’ – and was promptly buzzed, destroying his confidence.

McIntyre was forced to apologise when it looked like the lad might quit the audition. 'I’m sorry, it was a joke, not one of my best,' he told him.

But after David’s set, McIntyre was forced to admit: 'You’re naturally funny – a star in the making.'

Fellow judge David Hasselhoff added: ‘You are not only the best nine-year-old comedian I have seen, you are the best comedian. You belong on that stage. I've never seen anyone intimidate Michael like that. I love you for it.’

However, when David left the stage, McIntyre commented: ‘He was on a one way ticket to planet tears... The buzzer is so loud. I hope they edit that out. I don't want to see him jumping out of his skin.’
