Chuckle Brother Barry Elliott is setting up his own school.

The 66-year-old is one of the driving forces behind Rotherham Central Free School in his home town. His son’s partner, Charlotte Blencowe, will be its head.

She will set the school’s budget and curriculum, in line with the government's new education policies.

Elliot said: ‘I am delighted to be involved in something that raises standards.’

Blencowe added: ‘We want to encourage a business ethos and here is someone from Rotherham whose success has lasted a lifetime.’
