2.5million watch Comedy Awards

Good showing for C4

The British Comedy Awards attracted a very healthy 2.5 million viewers to Channel 4 on Saturday night.

Although 2.2million down on last year’s ITV1 figures, the 11.5 per cent audience share marks a good performance for Channel 4.

Another 200,000 watched on the Channel 4+1 channel an hour later.

The show was aired live on Channel 4 for the first time this year, after 20 years with ITV
