Robert Webb hosts new panel show

...which is nothing like Room 101, honest

Robert Webb is to host a new comedy panel show for Channel 4.

He is recording a pilot episode of Space next month, in which three celebrities attempt to define the best of our planet.

In a reversal of the Room 101 format, guests will nominate their most precious possessions, guilty pleasures, best-loved landmarks or favourite humans. Webb will then decide whether they are worth make it onto a space ship to be preserved.

It is the Peep Show star’s latest move away from comic acting, following his internet clip show Robert’s Webb.

Meanwhile Alexander Armstrong is also piloting a new panel show to feature three celebrity guests.

In What Do You Know, the contestants will have to set the questions as well as answer them. As in Armstrong’s daytime show Pointless, he will have a fact checker on hand to verify the answers – in this case Dave Lamb, the sardonic voice of Come Dine With Me.

This pilot is being recorded in London tomorrow, though it is not yet known which broadcaster may be attached.
