Frank Skinner to join Radio 3

For a Christmas comedy quiz

He built a reputation on being a laddish comedian, with raucous tales of football, drinking and sex.

But now Frank Skinner is joining the rather sedate ranks of Radio Three – hosting a new comedy quiz.

The comic will present the one-off panel show The Right Notes In The Wrong Order on Christmas Day.

The show will pit two teams against each another in a series of rounds testing their musical skills and cultural nous, according to the BBC.

This is not the first time Skinner has shown a love for classical music; when he appeared on Desert Island Discs earlier this year he chose tracks by Mozart and baritone Benjamin Luxon alongside The Fall and Elvis Presley.

The Right Notes In The Wrong Order will be recorded in front of a live studio audience on Sunday. See our free tickets page if you want to attend.
