Him & Her to return

BBC orders second series

BBC Three has commissioned a second series of its comedy Him And Her, its most successful sitcom to date.

A seven-part series will be filmed next year, although a broadcast date has not yet been set.

The first series, which launched last month, attracted around 660,000 viewers a week. With repeats and iPlayer views added the show, starring Sarah Solemani and Russell Tovey, attracted more than 2 million viewers.

Producer Kenton Allen said: ‘The tremendous support that BBC Three has given to a lo-fi romantic comedy in which nothing much ever happens has been amazing.

‘We are delighted that their faith has been repaidwith a brilliant reaction from audience and critics alike, and we can’t wait to return to the tea, toast and unwashed bed linen of series two.’

The show is written by Stefan Golaszewski and also stars stand-up Joe Wilkinson.
