Joan Rivers is coming to the UK in November for the British premiere of a documentary about her, Joan Rivers: A Piece Of Work.

The film will open this year's Sheffield Doc/Fest on November 3, which she will attend with directors Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg.

Filmed over the course of a year – including some segments shot in the UK – the film promises an ‘outrageously funny journey and a brutally honest look at the ruthless entertainment industry, the trappings of success and the ultimate vulnerability of the life of a performer’.

The frank documentary will also be broadcast on digital channel More4 on November 9.
