Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal in new animation

Flight Of The Conchords stars Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal have signed up to star in a new animated comedy series.

They voice two of the children in Bob’s Burgers, a sitcom set in a family-run fast food joint that’s struggling to make a profit because of its terrible location and customer service.

The show will air on America’s Fox network in a Sunday-night slot alongside The Simpsons and Family Guy.

It has been created by Loren Bouchard, who produced the Nineties series Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, as well as acting as a consultant on the animated Ricky Gervais Show.

Actor H. Jon Benjamin plays the eponymous owner in the series, which will will debut sometime in the 2010-2011 season.
