Russell Brand escaped injury on the set of his latest film after he was accidentally set alight.

The comic experienced the terrifying moment while filming a rock concert scene for Get Him to the Greek, in which he reprises his Forgetting Sarah Marhsall character Aldous Snow.

He told American student newspaper Tufts Daily: ‘I got set on fire once. There's a bit in the movie where I do a concert, and there's a wall of sparks raining down from the heavens. And it caught me on fire.

‘I stood in the wrong place; I caught on fire for a little. That was a bad bit.’

Brand added he found the sex scenes sort of stressful… not like actual sex — not as I know it.'
