James Corden is to host a regular World Cup show for ITV.

The Gavin and Stacey star will front the post-match programmes from English pubs to catch the mood of ordinary fans.

Corden, 31, is forging a niche as a football comedian, hosting Sky One panel show A League Of Their Own and regularly taking part in Sport Relief sketches with the England squad.

James Corden's World Cup Live will feature guests such as former players, WAGs and other celebrities.
