Manford to host ITV stand-up show

Pilot shot soon

Jason Manford could land his own Friday night TV show, featuring the best in stand-up talent.

Following the success of BBC One shows Live At The Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, the commercial broadcaster is producing a showcase of its own.

But, in a twist, Comedy Rocks will also offer the chance for an audience member to perform a stand-up routine of their own.

The show will also feature bands, as the name suggests. A pilot is being shot soon, with the hopes of making it to a full series.

Manford twittered: ‘It's only a pilot at the moment, not a series, so we'll see how it goes. I'll let you know more details when I know em.’
