Rory Bremner is making a Radio 4 series showcasing three international comedians.

Absurdist Dutch comic Hans Teeuwen, Swiss character act Viktor Giacobbo and Irish comedy legend Barry Murphy will all be profiled in Rory Bremner's International Satirists.

A source said: 'These are unique comic insights into other nations' comedy needs.

'The shows will feature plenty of performance material; intimate funny comic exchanges between Rory and guest; and an overview of each country ’s comic traditions.’

The first show, featuring former Chortle Award winner Hans Teeuwen, airs at 11pm on March 8.
