Brydon pilots new BBC Two show

Format promises stand-up and sketches

BBC Two is piloting a new entertainment vehicle for Rob Brydon.

The Gavin & Stacey star will record a sample episode of The Rob Brydon Show in front of a studio audience at Television Centre next Wednesday, to help producers to work on the format.

Little is known about the programme so far, other than that it promises a mix of live sketches, stand-up, music and celebrity guests and a ‘showcase of the best of today’s talent’.

The pilot episode will not be broadcast – but see our Free Tickets page for details of how to be in the studio audience

Brydon will also be one of the guests on Channel 4’s Big Fat Quiz of The Year, hosted by Jimmy Carr, which will be recorded on Monday.
