Jason Manford’s BBC One quiz show As Seen On TV has been axed after just one series.

The comic was a regular team captain on the primetime show, opposite Fern Britton, with Steve Jones as host.

But the BBC today confirmed that the comedy quiz will not be returning.

It launched in July on a Friday night with 2.7million viewers, but was soon moved to Thursdays.
