Frankie's a sick comic

Illness forces Boyle to miss Mock The Week

Frankie Boyle has been forced to pull out of this week's Mock The Week after falling ill just before the recording.

An ambulance was called to BBC Television Centre in West London and rushed the 37-year-old comic to hospital, where he underwent tests.

It forced him to miss the taping, with his role on the show filled by comic Ben Norris, who was doing the audience warm-up for the show.

His agent confirmed: ‘Frankie was taken ill just before the Mock The Week recording, but is recovering now and is fine.’

Boyle also pulled out of a TV industry conference yesterday because of his illness.

The other guests for tonight’s edition of Mock The Week are Milton Jones and David Mitchell.
