Radio 4 has committed to a full series of Fred MacAulay’s new topical panel show, I Guess That's Why They Call It The News.

The News Quiz regular will preside over a series of games inspired by the week’s headlines in the programme, to go out in August and September.

A pilot episode was recorded last month, and another not-for-broadcast try out will be taped later this month.
