Tate's Hollywood break

Catherine lands role in Gulliver's Travels

Catherine Tate has landed her first Hollywood role, appearing in the new version of Gulliver’s Travels.

She will play the Queen of Lilliput in the latest adaptation on Jonathan Swift’s novel – which will star Jack Black as the travelling hero.

The comic told The Sun: ‘I can’t believe it, it’s massive. It’s a big, kick-off Hollywood film.’

Earlier this year, it was reported that Gavin and Stacey’s James Corden was also in talks for a part in the movie.

Shooting on the new movie, which sets the adventure in modern times, begins in March.
