Peep Show duo pen new sitcom

Mitchell & Webb to star as useless entrepreneurs

David Mitchell and Robert Webb have written a new sitcom about two aspiring businessmen.

The Peep Show duo will also star in the new comedy, Playing Shop, if the series is picked up by a broadcaster. They are recording a pilot episode later this month.

They play Eric and Jamie, who set up a business in a garden shed after being made redundant, convinced that everyone else involved in commerce are idiots.

The show is described as ‘the epic struggle of two men attempting to make a fast buck without getting up before eleven or ever missing Bargain Hunt’.

It is being made by Hartswood Films, whose credits include Coupling and Men Behaving Badly. To be in the studio audience for the recording, visit our Free Tickets page.
