Jones raises the possibility
Gavin and Stacey could return for a third series, co-creator Ruth Jones has hinted.The hit BBC Three show is scheduled to finish after a Christmas special
But Jones, who also plays Nessa, has raised the prospect of a return – as long as she and co-writer James Corden can think of enough good script ideas
‘We're not ruling it out but it would have to be a really good idea and a really good story,’ she said of a third series. Who knows? Never say never.’
She added that there will be no celebrity cameos in the festive special, despite the number stars lining up to ask.
‘There are no plans as we speak to bring any celebs in but we're really honoured that people like it so much,’ she told Radio One’s Newsbeat.
She said she'd also like to work with Corden other projects. ‘I think James and I could probably write a really good romantic comedy one day, a big film,’ she said. ‘That's what would be the ideal scenario if we ever get time to sit down and work together again.'
