Corden apologises to Kiera Knightley
'Sorry for the shagging joke...'
James Corden has aplogised to Kiera Knightley for jokingly boasting that he’d slept with her.At the Empire film awards earlier this year, the Gavin & Stacey star introduced a video clip of the actress accepting her award.
He said Knightley couldn’t attend the bash because ‘I’ve just been shagging her solid for the last three days, really gunning it.
‘Some of it was sensual, sensual lovemaking, but on the whole quite brutal, and took me by surprise. Quite dark a lot of it.’
He said he’d shot the film and ‘literally, the minute we’d finished making it, I was hanging out the back of her’.
But Corden is now attempting to make amends for the joke - after Knightley ignored him at a showbiz party.
He said: ‘Truly, I thought about doing that 20 seconds before I went up). On my life, it just came out. It really was a joke. I would like to know she did know that. I think she's great.’
