Flight Of The Conchords star Jermaine Clement has landed a leading role in a new cult comedy movie.

The comic will be playing sci-fi writer Dr Ronald Chevalier in the film Gentlemen Broncos, due out next year.

In the movie, from Napoleon Dynamite Jared Hess, Chevalier steals a story idea from a teenage author, played by Michael Angarano.

A clip showing Clement in character has been posted on YouTube, ditching his natural New Zealand accent for a British brogue similar to James Mason’s.
