Chris Rock adds more UK dates

Chris Rock has announced another two UK dates for his No Apologies tour.

The comic kicked off his worldwide tour at London’s Hammersmith Apollo in January, which sold out so quickly he added extra dates at the O2 Arena on May 23 and 24 – beating Lee Evans to become the first comedian to play there. Both shows at the former Millennium Dome – which has a maximum capacity of 20,000 – have long sold out.

Now Rock has added additional dates at the Edinburgh Playhouse on May 28; the Nottingham Playhouse on May 29 and the Manchester Apollo on May 30.

Tickets for the new shows go on sale from 10am on Saturday. Click here to buy tickets for the Manchester gig, priced £40, once the online box office opens.

Edinburgh Playhouse general manager James Haworth said: 'Yet again the Playhouse is at the forefront of Scottish entertainment. We are proud to announce Chris Rock, who will be playing this one-off Scottish date.'

After the UK, he flies out to South Africa for a series of gigs. He also has dates in Australia in August, as well as a busy US schedule
