John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman have rekindled their comedy partnership for a new satirical podcast.

The pair collaborated on several Edinburgh shows, the Radio 4 show The Department and their regular topical club night Political Animal before Oliver landed a job with the Daily Show in New York last year.

Now they are reuniting for a regular podcast for the Times newspaper, with Zatzman reporting from London and Oliver from the States.

The show, called The Bugle, calls itself ‘an audio newspaper for a visual world… that leaves no political hot potato unbuttered’.
