A Party person?

Baron Cohen 'plans Sellers remake'

Sacha Baron Cohen reportedly wants to star in a remake of the Peter Sellers movie The Party.

The Borat creator has already discussed the idea with Blake Edwards, who directed the 1968 original, according to Hollywood trade magazine Variety.

The pair met at a screening of the film, which involves a bumbling Indian extra named Hrundri V. Bakshi causing chaos at a lavish Hollywood bash , in California.

Baron Cohen is currently working on a film featuring his gay fashioinista creation Bruno, and is to appear as another embarrassing party guest in the forthcoming Dinner for Schmucks, a remake of the French comedy Le Diner de Cons.

The original was the only collaboration between Edwards and Sellers that wasn’t a Pink Panther film. A remake has previously been mooted, with Mike Myers in the lead role.
