Fast Show pair plan TV return

...with spoof celebrity travelogue

Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson are planning their first TV project together since The Fast Show.

The pair want to spoof the sort of programmes that see celebrities travelling the country looking at serious topics such as landscape or architecture.

They may use the character of Gary Bellamy, who they created for spoof Radio 4 phone-in Down The Line, for the show.

Higson told the Independent: ‘One of the things we're thinking of is doing a parody of one of those types of shows where a TV journalist goes out around the country in a personality vehicle.’

He added that it will be based on ‘David Dimbleby in his Range Rover, Jamie Oliver in his Volkswagen, Billy Connolly on his three-wheeled bike. They're all the same.’
