What Family Guy couldn't show

Creator reveals controversial gag

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has revealed the one joke the animated comedy has never been allowed to show.

He said the ‘classic example’ of the scene that has never been transmitted was set at the Last Supper.

‘In the States people are fucked up about Jesus,’ he said. ‘Come on, it was 2,000 years ago.’

His comments came at a press conference at Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival to promote another Family Guy Live cast read-through.

MacFalane also said that comedy shows – including his - were now feeling confident to make references to 9/11, if handled carefully. The episode chosen for the Montreal event includes a passing gag about George Bush reading to children when he heard news of the Twin Towers attacks.
