The not-so-Young One

Ade's comedy heads for ITV

Former Young One Adrian Edmondson is moving back into student accommodation for a new ITV1 sitcom.

The network has snapped up his Radio 2 sitcom Teenage Kicks, about a middle-aged divorce – and ex-punk - who moves in with his teenage kids.

Executive Producer Phil McIntyre said: ‘This is a long overdue return to Young Ones madness. I am delighted to be working with Adrian and ITV on this five-star comedy mayhem.'

Paul Jackson, ITV's director of entertainment and comedy, said: ‘From the moment I arrived in this job I have made it my mission to bring quality sitcom back to ITV, this project absolutely does that.

'I'm very excited about having Ade back on our screens.’
