Allen left £3m in his will

Dave Allen left more than £3million in his will, it has been revealed.

The fortune was mostly split between his second wife Karin, who inherited £1.5million, and his children Jane and Edward, who were left just over £750,000 each.

However the comic's adopted daughter Christina Pette, who had a difficult relatonship with Allen, was left nothing. However her two teenage daughters were left £10,000 each.

Christina, who has admitted going off the rails as a youth, told The Mail on Sunday: 'It’s not the money I care about, but the fact that I meant nothing to him. It’s the final insult in what has always been a difficult relationship.’

Allen and his first wife Judith adopted Christina when she was nine – but says was kicked out of the family home 25 years ago, when she was 18, and never spoke to the comedian again.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that comic actor Henry McGee, best known as Straight Man to both Benny Hill and the Honey Monster, left £1million in his will.

He left his entire fortune to his partner of more than 30 years, actress Elizabeth King.

McGee died in January last year at the age of 76 after battling Alzheimer’s disease, while Allen died in March 2005, aged 68.
