• Matt Lucas will have two best men at his wedding this weekend - but neither will be David Walliams.

• Apparently mocking Chinese people by going 'ching chong, ching chong chong’ quite a lot is a bit racist. Who knew? Certainly not former stand-up Rosie O'Donnell, who had to apologise for doing just that on her American talk show. ‘This apparently was very offensive to a lot of Asian people,’ she said on yesterday's show, adding that she didn't realise she had done anything wrong until she chatted about the incident with an Asian staff member. ‘Apparently “ching-chong,” unbeknownst to me, is a very offensive way to make fun or mock, Asian accents,’ she said. • Ben Miller is so fed up with being mistaken for fellow comic Rob Brydon that he carries around a photo of them together to convince fans that he’s not the Annually Retentive star.

• Michael Barrymore says most comedy doesn’t make him laugh but loves the ‘absolutely hysterical’ Catherine Tate. He wasn’t asked about his dislikes, but we’re guessing ‘corpses in the pool’ is up there somewhere.

• Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, who is said to have rejected Russell Brand's advances at the recent Q Awards after-party says: ‘I don't fancy him - I just want to push his hair down. Every time I see him, his bird’s nest gets bigger and bigger. I don't really care much for his sexual exploits’ But there is another wild-haired comic she likes: Alex Zane. • Victoria Wood was named after Queen Victoria because her mother was obsessed with the monarch. ‘Half the books in our house were about her,’ she says.

• Dylan Moran never reads his reviews. ‘People who get nervous about what other people think of them generally end up being dictators,’ he surmises.
