Sworn into the record books

Strutter's f-word frenzy

Dennis Pennis creator Paul Kay has got into the Guinness World Records for the most swear words in a TV programme.

The first episode of his new MTV show, in which he plays a bitter New York comedian Mike Strutter, contained 201 swear words in its half-hour running time.

In the show, called simply Strutter, Kaye introduces video clips by coarsely insulting everyone who appears .

In character, Kaye said: 'Getting this record took a lot of blood sweat and tears... I tortured the fucker from Guinness.

'If you wanna be the best and beat the fuck 'outta the rest, medication's what you need.'

South Park previously claimed the record, by using the word shit a total of 162 times in the episode It Hits The Fan.

But in Strutter – which goes out on Thursdays at 10.30pm – the cursing tends to be a lot stronger than that.

It won the record for the instalment which aired on November 9, with a rate that equates to roughly one swear word every nine seconds.
