Palin plans final Python album

Michael Palin wants to reunite with his former Monty Python colleagues to produce one last comedy album.

The 63-year-old said Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones were interested in the idea, but John Cleese and Eric Idle have yet to commit.

He told The Sun: ‘I'd be interested. You exaggerate the ease of getting everyone into a studio but I'd quite like that.

‘If Pythons have differences they tend to be about lifestyle, money or whatever. But the fact is we all still make each other laugh.’

All the surviving members of the Python team will appear in a South Bank Show documentary this autumn about the transfer of musical Spamalot from Broadway to London.
