Alan lands his own varierty show

The Friday Night Project’s Alan Carr is to make his own variety show for Channel 4.

The camp stand-up is recording a pilot next month, with 74-year-old Lionel Blair as his sidekick.

Carr’s show will be called End Of The Pier, and will be filmed on Blackpool’s North Pier.

It promises celebrity guests, ‘bonkers games’, live music and exclusive comedy performances,

The programme will be made by Open Mike Productions, makers of Jack Dee Live At The Apollo.

Free audience tickets for the taping, from 1pm to 5pm on September 20, are available from endofthepier@openmike.co.uk.
