Monty Python speak!

Team unite in South Bank Show

Monty Python speak!

All the surviving members of Monty Python are to appear on a South Bank Show documentary about the musical Spamalot.

Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin and John Cleese will all be interviewed about the show, which transfers from Broadway to the West End this autumn.

Idle’s musical, ‘lovingly ripped off from’ the 1975 film Monty Python And The Holy Grail won three Tony awards while in New York, and opens in London’s Palace Theatre on October 16.

Other subjects of the South Bank Show’s new season, starting this autumn, will include Robbie Coltrane, George Michael, JG Ballard, Irvine Welsh, Damien Hirst and Wallace And Gromit creator Nick Park.
