Geravais's sidekick to star in short films
Ricky Gervais’s sidekick Karl Pilkington has been commissioned to make four short films for Channel 4.
Pilkington, the much-mocked producer of Gervais’s radio show and podcasts, will offer his views on animals, health, knowledge and holidays in the films.
They will air in the 3 Minute Wonder slot at 7.55pm from August 14 to 17.
Gervais’s record-breaking podcasts consist only of the comedian and writing partner Stephen Merchant quizzing Pilkington about his range of bizarre beliefs. Pilkington was also mentioned in Gervais’s stand-up show Politics.
The new shorts have been produced by Vanity Projects, part of the John Noel group of companies.
