Pegg sitcom is most-missed comedy

Spaced has been voted the most-missed TV comedy of all time.

Simon Pegg’s flatshare sitcom, which ran for two series in 1999 and 2001, topped a Chortle poll beating such long-acknowledged classics as Fawlty Towers and Blackadder, which came second.

Father Ted came third in the poll of almost 1,000 comedy fans who voted in the Chortle awards.

The full top ten was:

  1. Spaced
  2. Blackadder
  3. Father Ted
  4. The Office
  5. Monty Python’s Flying Circus
  6. Fawlty Towers
  7. The Young Ones
  8. Black Books
  9. Brass Eye
  10. Steptoe and Son
