Stand-ups Rob Deering, below right, and Russell Howard, above, have landed their own Radio 2 comedy show.

Out To Lunch, which will air on Saturday afternoons, promises stand up, sketches and ‘general silliness’.

Regulars will also include 2005 Perrier winner Laura Solon as well as Gary Le Strange, Dan Antopolski, Jason Manford, Joanna Neary and Colin and Fergus.

The show marks a departure for Radio 2 comedy, as it features up-and-coming acts, whereas it has previously used  only established comedy talent such as Arthur Smith or Eddie Izzard.
