Graham's big part

Norton lands first Hollywood role

Graham Norton has landed his first Hollywood role – as ‘a gay man’.

The comic has just been in Los Angeles filming his scenes in I Could Never Be Your Woman.

The movie, from Clueless director Amy Heckerling, stars Michelle Pfeiffer as a motherwho falls for a younger man (Rudd) while her daughter falls in love for the first time.

Co-stars include Tracey Ullman, who plays Mother Nature, and Coupling’s Sarah Alexander.

Most of the movie was shot in London, with some footage shot in California.

Norton, who is about to star an off-Broadway run in New York, told the city’s Gothamist magazine only that his part was that of a gay man.

He said: ‘Apparently I’m very gay and that’s what they went for.’

I Could Never Be Your Woman is due out next year. Before that, Norton will be seen in the independent High School sex-romp film Another Gay Movie.
