Forgotten Britons

Unseen Little Britain characters revealed

Some of the Little Britain characters that never made it to screen are to be included on a new DVD.

The disc of the second series includes footage that has previously only been seen by a handful of people involved in the show’s production – including one scene that the BBC thought too risqué to air.

Characters include:

  • Benjy of Lower Jism: a white man (David Walliams) who makes a big deal of befriending black people, even if he has nothing in common with them.
  • Mum and Ruth: a pushy mother (Walliams) trying to pair her daughter (Matt Lucas) off with any man she can find.
  • Jill and Kim: Housewives who have ‘relations’ with handymen to get DIY jobs done.
  • Eugene the musician: a triangle player (Walliams) with ‘anger management issues’
  • Roland the farmer: (Walliams) who likes putting high heels on pigs so he can have sex with them.

Many of the scenes were cut on taste ground, Lucas told this week’s Nuts magazine, which features stills from the unseen footage.

‘We just got a bit worried when we were putting the programmes together that we had far too much rude stuff in them.’

The other scene deemed too hot for TV involved Jason, the teenager with a penchant for pensioners, which ended up with him taking an old woman from behind.
