More Goodies

Graeme and Tim to tour Oz

The Goodies are to perform their live show in Australia again – but without Bill Oddie.

Tim Brooke-Taylor and Graeme Garden will return to the stage Down Under following a successful run in March.

But this time Oddie will be performing only via video because of filming commitments for his BBC nature shows.

The first date to be announced in the Goodies Still Alive On Stage tour is His Majesty's Theatre, Perth, on November 18. Tickets go on sale on Monday.

Further dates and cities will be confirmed soon, probably by the end of next week.

The show promises ‘Goodies bits banned from [Australian channel] ABC, The Funky Gibbon sung live, sketches from the student revue that took The Goodies to Broadway, Tim’s Union Jack waistcoat and possibly fireworks (insurance pending)’.

March’s was produced by The Big Laugh Comedy Festival Sydney and also played sell-out dates in Parramatta, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane.

A spokesman said the new dates will ‘give the rest of Australia a chance to hang out with Tim and Graeme, enjoy cyber Bill and to check out The Goodies favourite bits’.

The Goodies have not yet toured outside Australia, and there is no news on whether they plan to do so.
